I just did and think was a big mistake.
- They first ask how much you make and I think they calculate like 10% of your annual income as the amount to charge you. That is my guess.
- Then, we started and it was fine. Then, the card I was using for paying 50% was not available for the other 50%. I started receiving emails but never a call. So I called them and ask for a bank account number. They never sent.
- Then I received a collection letter. One day, the coach did not call anymore.
- I sent an email to the same guy J. Turo already mentioned telling him that because their lack of attention to my bank account number request they stopped the service, and therefore I wanted to cancel. All he replied was "let me see".
- A month later I received a call from a collection agency...
The coaching was helping me to stay focused, in that sense it was helpful.
Overall experience, my impression is that they are eager for your money and do not really care about their customers.

RED FLAGS

James turo the 'director' called me back for an interview to see if i'm worthy to be coached i wouldn't say what was told beyond about their eagerness to know about your money but what strokes me was:

I'm french, so james told me if you don't understand tell me, i said ok, he was speaking clearly but at a time he was a bit fast, I actually understood but told him to slow a bit down. he said ok, and continues to speak fast as if he was in a hurry and I was making him lost is time.

Just a detail let's say, but guess what comes after...

3 minutes after we began speaking , he started to ask me the usual questions, and asked, so mat, why do you wanna change? why R U unhappy with you situation? I answered oh i'm fully happy in my life and i don't want to change, on the contrary I want to amplify what I am.
James: 'oh that's your problem! You should'nt be happy if you want to succeed"

So if you r an happy person, who love is life and feel terrific about making progress you can't succeed because you don't want to change (and give them money?)...

I am a fifty year old teacher/contractor. I have read about half the rich man poor man books. I just had the interview with Kory Kemp, a rich man poor man coaching salesman. His sales pitch was tolerable but suspicious. But when he demanded we pay him nearly $8,000 on the spot with a credit card, I knew he was a fraud. Robert Kyosaki would never advise that.

Since the hard sale, I have pondered why Robert Kyosaki would whorify his name with hard-selling chumps. Then I remembered. Kyosaki does not sell commodities, he sells the RIGHTS to his name, books, etc. The coaching system is not really a Kyosaki product, it is just a business that has bought the right to use his name.

I have two sons who will be graduating in business this spring. For every class they take, they know the professor, how the students rate that professor, the professor’s background, and what the professor will teach them. But the rich man faculty is kept secret till they have your money. This should tell you their coaches are not worth advertizing.

Read every book you can about finance. Get a good accountant. Put together a good team of good progressive minds, then take action. You don’t need an anonymous coach.

And shame on you Kyosaki, you sold-out to frauds.

Banks determine your financial integrity by how little you use your credit card, and by how much liquid savings you have. If you charge eight grand on your credit card….you may get a coach, but you will probably not get a loan.

DON'T DO IT!!! I started in November 2010 and two months into the program I realized it was bull. All the information, resources, and "assistance" they provide you with is every thing you can do on your own. If you are considering getting a mentor or professional help for real estate, or stocks, or anything, get a LOCAL professional with twice the help and half the cost. Do reviews before you decide but what ever you do, stay away from rich dad coaching. I know this from personal expierence. I am now 4000 dollars out. Luckily I cancelled payments and switched accounts before I paid the full 6500. I read all of Robert Kiyosaki's books even his advisories like ABC's of Real Estate investing and I was fired up for his program, but after two months I realized I could be doing this research on my own and could have found a local mentor for half the price and saved the 4000 dollars to help develop a down payment on a house or school or stocks. My goal is to make sure nobody else makes the same mistake I did. Save your hard earned money and don't buy into this program. It is way to expensive for the mediocre help you receive. If you are serious about real estate investing or any investing, find a LOCAL professional, get reviews by asking if he has any clients he has worked with that you can speak to (HE SHOULD!) and make sure his price is decent. That's what I would do now that I know. And now you know. Email me if you have any questions email me at frank_phuckiyosaki@hotmail.com spread the word

DONT DO IT!!!! I got involved in richdad coaching 2010 November. Did it for 2 months and realized it was bull. I could have done all that researching myself. Its a 6500 dollar program and I would never recommend anyone spending that type of money when you can get better service locally for half that price and that would be a lot more well worth it. My goal is to have everyone not make the same mistake I did. Don't do it.

Hello, anyone know how to get them to stop calling my number? I provided it when I registered to get free info and they have been calling me ever since! They call everyday without leaving a message on my answering machine or simply ask for me and hang up. I sent email and called the number back and told them I was not interested in personal coaching and to stop calling but it continues....now what?

I am a HUGE fan of all RK's products and think the man is great so I decided to call and find out details about his coaching program. Was I in for a surprise!

In short the sleezy sales person by the name of Travis Yates made me feel like s**t because of my financial situation and reluctance to act immediately.

He started by taking down personal information such as ; which of Robert Kiyosaki's materials have you read?
Have you played Cashflow 101?
Have you started paying yourself first? if so how much?
Have you started line of credits to create leverage?
What motivates you to achieve financial freedom and how much are you willing to change to do it?

He than proceeded to tell me VAGUE details about the coaching program such as the coaching is over the phone.. lasts 6-12 months, you have to do a personal interview to determine if your coachable, and you will be talking to Jim Turo.

I said well before I commit to anything I want more details such as the price, and the techniques the coaches use to evaluate candidates and their qualifications.

THAT WAS HIS TRIGGER POINT.

As soon as I expressed reluctance he proceeded to make me feel like S**T by saying " I don't think you really are motivated because your not willing to go through with this" QUOTE OF WHAT HE ACTUALLY SAID ---- "All the studying and reading you do yourself is useless, our coaches will provide books for you to read yourself to get started" I politely said I will call back with my decision and he said, "Well I don't think I should even put you through to one of our 'directors' because this just shows me clearly you are not motivated and don't care enough about your future".... He also proceeded to tell me , 'From what your saying is you want to stay in the rat race and you are too afraid to act now....

Damien and a lot of other people have expressed similar thoughts towards this coaching service.

They are extremely well trained sales professionals that use your own personal information as leverage against you to make you feel guilty for not acting IMMEDIATELY.

BEWARE and GOODLUCK for all who try these services!

I have not, but I know some people that have and said that it worked well for them, but it isn't some walk in the park. You still have to really put in your due dillegence and hard work everyday, to make it work for you.

Also on a side note, I understand that Rober Kiyosaki is big on investing in Gold and Silver at the moment? Can anyone confirm this statemnt as true?

I have been purchasing silver rounds for investment purposes for awhile now, because I'm unsure of what the U.S paper dollar is going to be doing in the future.

Definitely not worth the money you spend. On a positive note, the coursework they assign you is not COMPLETE bulls**t. Each week you learn about a new creative finance technique. The assignments (or "case studies" as they call them) are hypothetical real estate situations where you have to come up with the proper numbers. They can be fun and challenging. The information you learn is legitimate, but you can get the same information anywhere else. Books, magazines, even WIKIPEDIA. There is NOTHING original here. The first one or two modules deal with info that comes directly from the Rich Dad Poor Dad books.

My coach was actually a very cool guy. I got some good pointers from him. However most of what he shared with me were stories or rather anecdotes from his past investment experiences. I don't need to pay to be told that I should get a hard hat and write "Inspector" on it when I go talk to tenants in a property I want to buy. I don't care that you bought your wife a car and put it in the same LLC as your fourplex so you could write it off as a business expense as long as your wife drove past the property once a week on the way home from her bridge game. I paid for a drill sergeant, and I ended up listening to a war hero fireside chat.

One of the bigger problems from taking this course was the module that preached responsibility with your credit card, checking your credit scores, etc. This will ensure that I always look good for lenders. The problem is that after I was pressured into paying for the coaching ON my credit card, it shot my debt sky high and my credit scores plummeted. That of course is not their problem.

No matter what I have good to say about this coaching program, the money they CHARGE you for it makes it a very bad investment. If you want to find a REAL coach, seek out a real estate investment specialist through a local realtor or CCIM. I found one through a friend of mine, and he helped me get my first property and gave me some sound advice. I wish I could go back in time and give HIM the thousands I gave Rich Dad.

Rich Dad Coaching Rich Dad Company Is a Total Rip-Off/ No Refunds Ever if You Don't Cancel within 3 Days/Entrepreneur Coaches Are NOT Entrepreneurs Themselves/Everything a Coach Could Teach You Is In Books/Don't Fall for The Sales Pitch
...
Rich Dad Coaching
Phone: 8003334024
Fax: 4255 Lake Park Boulevard
Salt Lake City, Utah 84120
United States of America

I do NOT recommend enrolling in the Rich Dad Coaching entrepreneurial program. I talked with my assigned enterpreneur coach for the first time after being made to wait a month before that session, and it was clear that the entrepreneurial coaching services were not what was described and that the coaching program was not going to be able to help me work through my specific issues related to building my online business (like actual problems and not just the Rich Dad doctrine).

In the sales call, I was led to believe that my coach had actual experience building a business, but after the first coaching session when I asked him about it, he said, and I quote directly from his e-mail, "What makes you think that you need someone that has done your exact business to coach you through the steps you need to take to become successful? Success is a process, a mind shift if you will. It is not business specific. It isn't education specific. It is a process of changing from where you are now to where you need to be." I agree that a mind shift can be a part of success, but that's not what I told them I needed or they said I would receive when I signed up for coaching.

Being within 1 business day after my first coaching session, I called to cancel my program and requested a refund of all charges made by Rich Dad Coaching (a total of 3/4 of the total in the first 31 days, or an outrageous $4,350 with less than one month into the program).

Again, I have to say that the services offered by Rich Dad Coaching were not as described, either on their web site or in the initial sales phone conversation. I received the written materials (basically, just two books) via regular mail about 10 after signing up and about three weeks before my first scheduled coaching session.

The cancellation policy was not clear in the written materials that they sent me or on the web agreement that I had to agree to. I called within 10 days of when I received the materials, but then was told it was only three days after receipt of materials. The coaching program is one year long, and I had had the materials in my possession less than three weeks at that point, and the coaching is the main program, not the materials that they sent.

After putting me off and ignoring me for a week, Chad Coles, a "quality manager" at Rich Dad Coaching, finally got back to me to try to convince me that their services were exactly as described. After deflecting my questions about a refund, he finally admitted that they were going to give me NONE of my money back, even less than a month into a supposed one-year program.

Unless you need some serious hand-holding and you want to review all the materials published in the Rich Dad books, don't even think about wasting your money on their coaching program. Their entrepreneurial coaches haven't even started their own businesses.

I did ask them on the inital sales call why, if the coaches knew how to build a business and become financially independent, were they working as coaches for Rich Dad? The sales rep, Chris Totterer, fed me some crap about how they do it because they want to give something back or just for fun part-time. I'm such an idiot! Please learn from my mistakes and don't repeat them.

I talked to the sales people the other day.

Short answer is I have no clue if they deliver but I know for certain their salespeople are full of crap and will say anything to convince or trick you into joining. RED FLAGS constantly, follow your intuition, if someone talks to you the way they do get away and don't look back.

This will save you an hour:

- Try to tell you it's an interview and that you may not be able to qualify, bs.
- Don't tell you the fee until the end, call it a tuition
- First questions are about how many credit cards you have and how much space you have on them.
- They explain bad and good debt right away, they are good debt.
- Last question is how do you think you'll pay for this life changing program... baiting you to say um credit card like you told me?!
- Ask you to tell all sorts of personal information then use it against you to make you feel bad and ashamed for the position you are in.
- What steps do you think you will take to change your life, what program will you join?
- Laugh about how rich he is and every else at work, fake laugh by the way because I'm sure they are not rich
- Act like they care about you when he really wants commission.
- When asked for references and the ability to talk to someone in or out of the program or even a mentor. NO! This is not allowed we never do that it violates our polices. You're telling me out of the thousands you are training no one is happy enough to say sure I'll talk to someone about my experience, not even a case study to read.
- Number 1 rule, if someone does not offer references it's bull crap!!!
- Lots of leading and tricky questions, lots of little games that all builds up to you feeling bad and wanting to use your credit card for $9K with no references.
- The worst trick is the first thing they tell you on the call is you can only talk to us if you are ready to take action right away, is that person you? In other words once you hear the pitch you must sign up right away otherwise you are a person who takes no action and that's why you are in the place you are. Very tricky, I feel bad for people who are in a terrible situation and are tricked by their sales people.
- When I told them no he literally tried to make fun of me and the position I was in. How did you get to where you are now, are you happy, what program can help you...

I have never heard of such a well made misleading manipulative script in my life. There must be better coaching companies somewhere else.

I realize it's about 2 years since the question was asked... well, hopefully it would help someone considering it today

I'm currently doing the program. Overall I'm finding it to be a positive experience. I consider myself a pretty solid guy who doesn't fall for the typical sale pitch, and when I decided to enroll, out of my own discretion, I made a decision to go with it and not pass judgments on myself or them for doing it, but instead to try and maximize the results.

Basically, they have various courses - for real estate, entrepreneurs etc. I took the entrepreneur, since I own several small business and was looking to start a new one, which was the only reason I elected to enroll in the first place.

At first, they assigned me some girl who was very weak. We didn't connect from the first moment. She seemed more clueless than me. Also, she was doing the real estate course, not the entrepreneur. I figured the salesman didn't do their job completely after I signed in.

Short story, was reassigned and got a pretty cool guy. He appears to be experienced and seasoned. The course is based on modules, and breaks down by topics. Many of which are features in the RD various literature and CDs. You can elect to go according to the modules, or build your own. You get 1/2 hour calls every week for about 18 weeks or so and then you're supposed to continue your work with the support of the resource center. I'm still in the phone training phase and over time we built some rapport, as much as you can with a stranger over the phone i suppose. I also called the resource center once or twice. To be honest, they seem like young kids in their early 20s (I'm early 30s haha) man the lines. I did get some pretty good advice on one of my calls, that led me to implement some very productive changes to my existing companies, so to be honest you never know.

overall, I have had a positive experience. Many people try to measure the cost vs. value, which is hard to do, since it is so personal. I have paid over $100K for my university education. Some graduates haven't done a thing with their diploma, while others have fared very well. It's all so personal.

For me it was a matter of getting started on the company of my dreams. I realized paying $9K (can't remember the exact amount) towards actually writing a plan and formulating the company I always wanted to have is a fair price to pay, and hopefully in future term will be priceless. Did I need this course? No, definitely no. I already own several businesses in the same field, read books on various business and my industry subject matters, as well as all RD books and CDs and the Cashflow games.

And yet... as of right now I am finding this course useful, partially since I want to make sure I got some mileage out of the money ;-)

As a closing thought, if you considering enrolling, here's what I have to advise:

The salesman will pressure you hard into enrolling. It's his take home pay after all. They will use the opposite qualifying technique, as if to measure whether you are a worthy candidate for them, as well as selling you on the "most people remain poor for the rest of their lives since they fail to take action...". They will also not disclose much about the course. So be prepared.

If $10K is a lot of money for you (it always is a lot of money to be fair, but you know what I mean) and you need to borrow most of it on credit cards or from family, friends and other fools, then this may not be for you. You may be really hard pressed to continually justify the expense

If you're fairly new to Kiyosaki doctrine and just embraced the concept of "i want out of the rate race", it will probably be premature for you

If you're not in a position to start a business right away, or more importantly, don't know what you want to do, this is probably not for you. You will waste a lot of time. If you're considering the real estate course, I can't say much, except that again, you should be in a position ready for action. In today's economic climate that probably includes some down payment cash

If you're a highly experienced businessman or real estate investor you'll find the knowledge benign

But, if you want to make a difference in your life, can afford the price, are self-disciplined and know what you want - you may find this valuable, and maybe even an important step in your future path, who knows...

Really hope this was of help to readers out there who consider this option. Not to confuse with Rich Dad Education, which I personally do not endorse even though i have not attended their classes.

Since I believe in helping others who are looking to help themselves, i am willing to answer particular question someone may have regarding the course, and therefore providing my email. Please use respectfully and do not spam. This is done for the purpose of offering help on the matter whether to enroll or not and no more. I will not disclose and copyright, trademark and any other information and techniques listed in this course or otherwise.

Also ,I'm already disclaiming that my advice is strictly personal in nature, that I am not related or affiliated with this program whatsoever, and by sending me an email you fully understand that any decision you take will strictly be your full responsibility.

WOW...I have recently been contacted by the Rich Dad Poor Dad coaching program (3days ago) and have passed both interviews and now their just waiting for me to pay the tution. I became very interested in the program because from my understanding they were going to help me achieve being fincially free, but after reading the comments in this forum i'm not going to follow through with it because
1. Now that i've had time to think and do my research i've found that it is more of keeping you motivated than actually getting in the mix themselves.
2.After i was told that i had passed the second interview (i was excited) and was given their commitments to me and my commitments to them (which also included the $1,399 for tution) to write down, then the guy wanted to know if i was able to pay the tution that day.I told him no because i had to be to work for 1pm and the time then was shortly after 11am, he then became more interested in the time frame that i could use to go to the bank to have the money put on my debit card to get started. After i realized how adamant he was in me paying the tution as soon as possible, i decided to search the internet to see people's opinions/experiences with the program and i found this site -which was a great help, ESPECIALLY DAMIEN'S COMMENT in which the feeling was mutual.

I'm new here, to this site, and if anyone can help me in whatever way possible in terms of knowledge (resources) or steering me on the right path that would be greatly appreciated. Send an email if you would like share anything....thanks!!

It seems like you have to qualify to the coaching... but, you are paying for it, right? So what "qualifications" do they look for? The answer: MONEY!

One of the "directors" (James Turo) called me today. We were 1 hour on the phone. He told me things like "you ARE in the rat race". Finally, he asked me how much do I want to pay for coaching. I told him "100 dollars a month" (Ok, I can pay more than that... this is business!), then he said "You are not ready!"...

So... that's all... I'm not ready to spend A LOT!!! :) I will not call or contact them again.
